We acknowledge the people of the Kulin nation, the traditional custodians of the lands in which we heal and work. We pay our respects to their Elders past, present and future. We recognise that sovereignty has never been ceded. As we share experiences of trauma, we recognise the traumatic histories of dispossession and colonisation of Australia’s First Peoples. We believe it is untenable to talk about issues of abuse and trauma in Australia without acknowledging these histories and their ongoing impact.
